Oracle 11i / Oracle Apps
Oracle 11i is a set of applications, sometimes called 'Oracle Apps', that includes Oracle 11i Manufacturing and Oracle 11i Finance. These are complete, stand-alone applications that were created by Oracle Corp. and are fully functional. Each organization will customize Oracle 11i to meet its own business model.
Oracle 11i is Written to Run in a Java Environment
As seen above, starting up Oracle Applications causes a JAVA Applet window to appear. This is an indication of the higher level of programming that is contained in these applications.
Oracle 11i is Web Enabled
Oracle 11i is web-enabled, and browser-lauched, which means it can be accessed via any Internet browser, like Netscape or Internet Explorer, which also minimizes desktop requirements and maintenance issues.
